FINN WALSH
ARTS AND CRAFTS

ABOUT

Finn Walsh is a multidisciplinary artist and craftsperson based out of Northampton, MA and Camden, ME. Their work centers around the conjunction of functional objects and art objects. Walsh is influenced by their childhood on the coast of Maine, their experience in woodworking and tall ship sailing, and an insatiable hunger to learn every skill possible. Their work also explores gender absurdity and personal identity through symbolic representation and self portraiture.

As an educator, Finn Walsh brings students of all ages and backgrounds into skills traditionally dominated by older cisgender men. They are a firm believer in the power of making as a tool for collective activism, and believe that chop saws and forges are for everyone. Walsh teaches workshops regularly through their own studio, as well as in collaboration with local art spaces.
